PAN 5285 EARLY – MEDIUM MATURITY (NON-GMO)

Maize is mainly packed in 60 000 and 80 000 seeds per bag but we do have some varieties available in 5kg, 10kg, and 25kg.

This hybrid is ideal for production in almost all regions in South Africa due to its stable performance across a wide range of production environments. Easy to manage with good tolerance to some common diseases. Hybrid is most suitable under dryland conditions or with supplementary irrigation. Very good performance in the Agricultural Research Council (ARC) National

• Relative days to flowering: 60-80 days after planting
• Relative days to physiological maturity: 116-150 days after planting
• Recommended plant population: 16 000 – 45 000 plants/ha (dryland) or 55000 plants/ha (with supplementary irrigation
• Stable performance over seasons
• Widely adapted and has good yield potential, especially on soils with a clay content of >10% in the topsoil.
• Good tolerance to Cob and Tassel Smut and Northern Corn Leaf Blight (NCLB). Weak on Phaesphaeria leaf spot.
• Good seedling vigour, standability and prolificacy
